This car was supplied new to Howard Done who completed in rallies and Hillclimbs during his ownership.
Sold to Roy Yates and his pal Gordon Foster it was continually modified running various engines and raced in Special Saloon car races before Roy moved on to build and race a V8 Ford Zephyr and then a Mustang.
Gordon was tragically killed in an accident and the Anglia lay untouched until it was rescued and rebuilt by well known sprinter Malcolm Evans. Malcolm sold the car to Darren Echells who after a very short ownership sold it Michael, its current owner.
Michael has since had a lot of success with the car and has continued to modify it. In 2018 the car was rebuilt for a very shortened season in 2019. It currently runs a full race prepared 1325cc Ford crossflow engine and is very highly modified.
During the Festival Sarah Bosworth will be in the driver's seat, you will be able to take a good look at this immaculate car in the paddock area where there are signed photos available.
