Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club are celebrating 70 years of Motorsport activity in 2020 and what better way of celebrating this fabulous achievement than to be appointed the Official Organising Motor Club to the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival.
We are also particularly proud to be part of the Festival as 2020 is the centenary commemorating 100 years since Hillclimbing first took place in the Holme Valley, part of the wonderful surrounding Yorkshire area. In 1920 the first ever Hillclimb competition in the area took place racing up Holme Moss hill, then little more than a dirt track. It was attended by some of the best drivers and cars of the day, the quality of which we intend to replicate, but with more modern classic racing cars, in 2020 at the Yorkshire Motorsport Festival.
We are very much a family oriented Motor Club and a very active group of Motorsport enthusiasts who specialise in both road and stage rallying, Auto solo’s and our members organise, marshal, drive and navigate on all levels of these from grass roots all the way up to the World Rally Championship throughout the year, we are a member of 4 local Associations.

As a club we raise money for our local Air Ambulance and we are proud to have done this for several years.
Our club nights are every Thursday, and we meet at Lumb Farm country club in Ripley (Marehay) from 9:00pm onwards with a warm Derbyshire welcome to all.
Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club presented a cheque for £2000 to the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire and Derbyshire, Rutland & Leicestershire Air Ambulance at the Donington historic festival and will be making another donation with thanks to all who enter our events this year
